Greetings, programs! You are entering another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. Okay, mostly mind. My mind. Actually, it’s entirely my mind. You are about to enter X. Ho Yen, Author’s INNERVERSE. It may look like spaceships, exotic swirly things, robots, aliens, and sciencey challenges in outer space, but this is not a depiction of some far flung future. It is, in fact, only a depiction of X. Ho Yen, Author’s internal life as he frames it, as Space Autistic Author!
This episode is an homage and a protest.

NB: As you can see, several “threatrical set” pics I ended up using from pixabay were AI generated by the various pixabay accounts in the episode credits. (I did not generate anything myself using AI, I just used and altered their pics.) I did this years ago, in the Autumn of 2023. I believe it was before I learned how these AI tools were trained. Nevertheless, I’ve always been a supporter of human-made art, and did not want to use AI pics.
It’s just that finding copyright-free, free-for-commercial-use or even reasonably inexpensive equivalents was simply not happening. I tried everything. I relied on AdobeStock, but the appropriate spacecraft interior pics it had also were, in most cases, AI generated. I do find all this regrettable, but for what it’s worth I’ve given no money to anyone for these several AI-gen pics. They were made available as samples on pixabay and via AdobeStock’s “free first several downloads” policy. Perhaps Adobe paid money for those items, but I didn’t.
I don’t know how to fix it other than to continue searching for replacements which are made by humans. I have no budget. In fact, I’m thousands in the red on all of my indie author endeavors. If you know of some artists who make spacecraft interior graphics of equivalent-ish quality to those I used for the main bridge, port bridge, the two corridors, and one or two of the interiors of the shuttlecraft, and can make them available copyright free, license free, and for non-prohibitive prices, do let me know. I’m absolutely willing to replace them and become AI-pic free.
